The Road to Education is Paved with Good Intentions...

Welcome to my doctoral studies blog, where I will post all the important information desired or required for the doctoral program at Illinois State University. The pages on the side navigation bar provide links and useful information for my program. And now, a little about myself: My name is Sara McCubbins and I work as a project and office manager for the Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology (CeMaST) at Illinois State University. My background is in Chemistry Education, but my true passion lies in science outreach and curriculum design. One of my main roles at CeMaST is in developing, organizing, and implementing our Family Science Day, which attracts more than 1200 visitors each year (www.familyscienceday.com --shameless plug!). By obtaining my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, I hope to find myself in the position to develop large-scale outreach programs and curriculum designs. In my personal life, I enjoy playing the violin and I love to read and write.
